Due to sickness and a wee bit too much to drink, I had to bow out of the Kiwi mixer slightly earlier than planned. Nonetheless, it was still worthwhile going, though I should probably moderate how much free Carlsberg I drink next time... The New Zealand Mixer's usually held on the third Friday of each month, though an exception was made this month. Entry fee is very reasonable at 100 RMB, including a lot of finger food and free Carlsberg and house wines. The event was a little emptier than usual, reportedly because of the school holidays. I didn't really get around to meeting many people, partially because I was chatting to certain people for a long time and partially because of too much beer, which hastened my exit slightly. Most of the faces I met were in sales, with a law partner and a couple of English teachers too. Industries included education, law, F&B, logistics and relocation. Cards collected: 8 Familiar faces: 1
